We are pleased to announce the kick off party for Well Hung's first opening, With Violent Disregard, a collection of 14 new illustrations on canvas and watercolor paper by Serbian artist, Boris Jovanovic (bespokegrafiks.com). within this work, Boris presents frenetic lines, swaths of mostly black color ink, and intimate angles all to convey a sense that he may not only be drawing inspiration from the lives of strangers he observes, but manifestation of his personal experiences as well.
This first showing was commissioned by Ernesto Sopprani, Director of Programming at MCVF, to work with themes explored in this month's first show Don't Feel: The Death of Dahmer, written and performed by DIY Resident Artist Evan Johnson. With Violent Disregard features digital print media that calls attention to a reflection on male homoerotic violence.
Opening reception will take place this Friday February 19th from 6 to 8pm. We welcome everyone to come see the art and meet the artist. This event is free.
